Cold as Ice. Ice(p)w

[Thunderstar]

Thunderflash pocked her head into the apprentice den as she looked around for Icepaw. "Get up Icepaw! Hurry up!! I'll be waiting for you at camps entrance ok." She meowed excitedly as she headed towards the camps entrance. She slipped out of camp as she felt a chilly breeze ruffle her pelt making a shiver run down her spine. She sat down as she waited for Icepaw to arrive. 

[Icefang]

Icepaw lifted her head up just as Thunderflash left the den. Icepaw jumped up exitedly as soon as she remembered training and jumped of of the den. Icepaw ran to the enterance of camp and stepped out. "Wow I have never been out of camp befor!" Meowed Icepaw in amazement. Then Icepaw spotted her mentor and walked up to her "I'm so exited that I get to start training with you!"

[Thunderstar]

Thunderflash heard someone come out of the entrance as she watched Icepaw pad towards her. "I'm as excited as you are too." She meowed as she stood up. "Ok now today I'll show you around the territory, and our borders.... and I'll show you a few basic hunting skills. How that for a first day?" She meowed as she gave her a slight smile.

[Icefang]

Icekit listens to her mentor excitedly then meows in reply "That would awesome first day!" then jumps up to follow Thunderflash.

[Thunderstar]

"Very well then." She meowed as she padded along with Icepaw. She headed for the AshClan border as she stopped. "You see that big Oak Tree?" She meowed as she pointed it out with the tip of her tail. "Well an Owl used to live their, and they said He will swop up young apprentices off the ground and eat them." She meowed with a chuckle "But he's long gone now so don't worry." She meowed as she continued to make her way to the border

[Icefang]

Icepaw believing what Thunderflash said shudders at the thought of the Owl "Did that really happen!" Icepaw meowed as she stared to fallow her mentor.

[Thunderstar]

"Well it happened once to a young apprentice. But never again." She explained as they got closer to their destination. She stopped again as she turned around as she looked at an abandoned tow-legged nest. It had fallen bricks and some herbs that grew around it. "Well that's the abandoned tow-legged nest. Want to check it out really quickly?" She asked

[Icefang]

"Sure!" Icepaw meows then steppes toward it then wrinkles her nose in disgust "Aggg, what's that smell!" Coughs Icepaw and then without waiting for an answer asks "Did tame kitty's really live in these things?"

[Thunderstar]

Thunderflash took a seat as she watched Icepaw explore. She laughed as Icepaw wrinkled her nose in disgust, it reminded her of her first day exploring the abounded house cause she had the same reaction as Icepaw did. "Yep tame kitty's do live in tow legged homes." She meowed as she stood up. "Ok let's get going." She meowed as she continued to walk through the forest. When the finally made their way to the border she took a deep breath smelling the air. No cats had crossed the border but their was a recent patrol that passed by maybe a few moments ago. She padded toward Icepaw as she sat down. "Ok what do you smell?" She asked

[Icefang]

Icepaw followed her mentor to the border and sniffed the air "I smell many unfamiliar scents, are those the cats from the other clan?" Icepaw asked in awe.

[Thunderstar]

Thunderflash studied Icepaw as she sniffed the air. "Yep that's AshClan's scent." She meowed "Now remember it just incase someone crosses the border." She explained. She jerked herself up from were she sat as she walked in the other direction. "Ok now let's go check out StormClans border." She froze and dropped to the ground as she spotted a rabbit. Thunderflash pointed to the rabbit with her tail waring Icepaw to keep low. "Ok now what is the position I'm doing right now." She asked

[Icefang]

Icepaw sees the rabit and drops to the ground and mimics Thunderflashes pose the best she can "This is the hunters um... Crouch right?" Asks Icepaw.

[Thunderstar]

"Correct." She meowed with a slight nod of her head. "Ok now I'm going to go after it so watch carefully because the next rabbit, mouse, our any other prey we come along your going to try to catch it." She meowed as she creeped forward keeping low to the ground. When she got close enofe she pounced onto the rabbit killing it swiftly with a bite to the neck. She skipped back to Icepaw. "Got it." She meowed as she buried it under some leaves

Icepaw watched her mentor catch the rabbit "why do we bury it in the leaves instead of bringing it strait back to camp?" Asked Icepaw

[Thunderstar]

"Well we burry it because when you go on a hunting patrol you might catch more than one thing so you bury it and come back and collect it later on." She explained as her tail flickered up a bit. Thunderflash glanced over at Icepaw as she gave her a slight smile. "Last one to the StormClan border is a mouse brained cat!" She yelped as she dashed off for the border
